Gollies in Portsmouth

gollywogs.jpg

Good to see that political correctness hasn't got the better of Portsmouth market and we smiled to see this happy group of Gollywogs on a market stall there last week. We congratulated the seller on his stance against PC, before going to see if we could still buy a pound of fruit nearby!

H'ray for the vendor! You'd be hard put to find a shopkeeper with spine enough to set up such a display here in the U.S. But at least the metric system hasn't made much headway here. In the U.S. we still use the BRITISH system of weights and measures.
