Cheap lousy censoring faggots at the BBC

Despite being a perenial favourite around this time of year, the BBC have now decided to censor The Pogues' classic Christmas song "Fairytale of New York" for fear of offending homosexuals.

Judging by the amount of airplay I've been hearing the song recieve, I think it's only the BBC who are being so PC.

This "ban" lasted for a whole day and only stretched as far as Radio 1. Radio 2 aired the song with "faggot" in tact numerous times. Do you not think it's a bit odd that the BBC decided to just edit it out on one station whilst mentioning that they are editing it out on the hourly news every time and then getting the story into all the major newspapers (especially the typically outraged Daily Mail)?
A day after the news broke, "faggot" was back due to "popular demand"...which basically means they got their publicity and the next day their ratings were substantially higher with people actually tuning in to hear the ommited word. Good to see you fell for it too :D
